Newport News FC Travel Soccer Club is proud to offer some of the finest camp programs available in Virginia. Every camp we offer is staffed professionally by our Club's Director of Coaching and other USSF and NSCAA Licensed coaches. Our camps programs are held exclusively for our members. They are specifically designed to develop our players individual technical skill and decision making. In addition, each camp is highly instructional and every who participate benefits because we us proven national and international teaching methods.
 

Winter Camp
December 2007 - January 2008
6pm-7:30PM

The Newport News FC Winter Academy Program is one of the most comprehensive and affordable camp programs available. The NNFC Winter Academy curriculum is designed exclusively for current U10 - U14 players and focuses on developing and improving individual ball skill, 1 v 1 play and tactical awareness in small group environments. Additionally players are grouped by team and/or ability level so they have a chance to learn and play with other players their age. The 2007-2008 Winter Academy Camp training dates are December 4, 6, 11 ,13, 18, & 20 and January 8, 10, 15, & 17.

Participants of this program participate in 10* professionally staffed training sessions for the price of what a 5-session camp generally costs. Additionally, all participants in this camp train under Nationally Licensed Coaches and former Olympic Development Program Coaches and Evaluators. The 2007 Winter Academy Camp program will begin on December 4th. The camp will be held at Sanford Elementary in December & Dozier Middle School in January from 6-7:30 PM on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The cost of the Winter Academy camp is $90.00 AND can be paid the first night of camp. All checks should be made payable to "NNFC." Space is limited, so register early.

2007 Soccer Skills Camp
July 16 - July 20
9am-11am ~ Riverview Farm Park

This camp is specifically designed to improve individual player ball skill. This camp is open to all recreation and travel level players of Newport News and the surrounding communities. The camp curriculum will include 1 v 1 attack and defending principals, learning 1v1 moves to beat an opponent, ball striking, crossing and finishing, ball control and juggling. This camp is open to all players U10-U18. The cost of this camp is $50.00 for NNFC members and 75.00 for all others. Register by clicking here.

This camp offers players from every team a chance to learn the same team concepts and individual skills necessary to play at a high level. This camp is designed as a "team camp," which means players are grouped by team and age group. Players should come prepared with water, shin guards, and a ball. Newport News FC Advanced Player/Team Camp
July 30-August 3
5 pm-7:30 pm ~ Riverview Farm Park

The Advanced Camp is held exclusively for current Newport News FC U15-U18 Teams and Players. This camp is specifically designed to focus on advanced topics. Teams will learn to adapt to different systems of play, how to play indirect and direct, how to defend in the different areas of the field, how to create scoring chances in the attacking third of the field, how to defend set pieces, how to develop patterns of play that enable them to systematically move the ball on the field, how to play and beat the off-sides trap, etc. The cost of this camp is $75.00. Goal Keeper & Striker Camp Training Programs

Newport News F.C. is proud to offer one of the finest on going Goal Keeper and Striker training programs available. Every Fall and Spring players the club organizes extra training sessions for every member. Goal Keeper sessions are specifically designed to provide basic and advanced techniques of this very unique position. The Striker program is designed to improve confidence with the ball and ball striking. Each of these programs are conducted by licensed professional staff and our offered as exclusive member's only programs.
