Tournament Format

3 games guaranteed
25 minute games - continuous clock
5 v 5 with substitutions made on the fly
Roster size - 10 players suggested
Awards for 1st and 2nd places
Modified FIFA Rules Used
Proof of age must be provided
Current USYSA Rosters Accepted

Tournament Facility

All tournament games will be played at the Julie Conn Gym, located just off I-664 in downtown Newport News. Julie Conn Gym is a large multiple court gym configured with walls for indoor soccer play, overhead seating and an electronic score keeping system. This facility has hosted numerous indoor tournaments and offers an exciting playing experience.

Tournament Registration

Deadline for registration is one week prior to each Tournament date, as space is available. To register your team please send the following information to Tournaments@newportnewsfc.com.

2. Registered Age Group

3. Tournament Age group(s) you want to participate in

4. Number of teams you are registering

5. Your Team's Affiliation: League, Club or School

6. Team Manager's name, phone number(s) and email address

7. Team Coach's name, phone number(s) and email address

You will receive email confirmation once
your registration is processed.

Tournament Entry Fee

$150 per team if received by December 30, 2007.
$175 per team after December 30, 2008 to one week prior
to the tournament as space is available.

Other Tournament Information

1. Teams can play in multiple age groups, i.e. a U10 team can also pay in the U11 bracket.
2. Teams can only play a maximum of one year up without seeking the approval of the Tournament Director.
3. Space is very limited so early registration is highly recommended.
4. This is not a VYSA sanctioned tournament so guest players only need proof of age to play.
5. Game schedules will be emailed to the manager and coach approximately one week prior to the tournament.
